Who can use myMailMarket?
Any marketer or digital believer who wishes to promote his services or products to a wide audience, who wishes to inform followers and who wants to build customer relationships through email or SMS marketing.
Do I need to install a software program to start ?
No, there is no need to install additional software on your server or on your computer.
Which browser should I use ?
For optimal use we recommend Google Chrome or Firefox. If you‘re still stuck with Internet Explorer, we hardly advise you to use at least version 10. If parts of the interface are not visible or are strangly stacked, you probably use an older browser we don't support (we live by HTML5 and CSS3).
I have lost my password, can I recover it ?
You can request a new password on the login screen.
As we store your passwords encrypted via salts, we have no means to read your original password. By requesting a new password, you will receive a temporary password that you can change after logging in.
How do I add an unsubscribe link to my email ?
An unsubscribe link or opt-out option is automatically added to each email at the bottom of the page, unless you have added it manually by specifying the tag [unsubscribeurl] somewhere in your email template.
How do I synchronize unsubscribes with my own database ?
Either you do this manually by making use of our extensive export possibilities, or you hook up with our API, and call the GetUnsubscribes API method, after sending out a campaign.
Can I personalize my emails ?
Yes, you can use as much personalisation data as you want, as long as you import all those data into our system.
By using custom fields, you can extend our native database with extra personalisation options you have in your own database. Every custom field can be used as a personalisation tag in your email campaign.
Can I personalize the subject of my email ?
Yes, you can personalize everything, so both title as body of the email.
Can I personalize the unsubscription page ?
Our platform allows you also to personalize the unsubscribing page when a customer clicks on the optout link. Just go to Adresslists ; New list ; Personalise ; Personalise unsubscribe. This gives you a last opportunity to ask your customer if he is really sure to unsubscribe.
How can I upgrade or downgrade my account ?
You can upgrade your account via the menu option my account in the upper right corner. On the account page there is a clear indicated button where you can upgrade your account. A downgrade is also possible afterwards.
What are the payment methods ?
When buying extra credit or upgrading a monthly formula, you have the options to
pay online via any credit card.
Can I add other users to my account ?
If you are in the role of administrator, you can add, update or delete users in your account. If you are in the role of a normal user, or in the role of spectator (read-only), you will have not that ability.
Can I sign up for a reseller account ?
Yes, you can apply as reseller and maintain multiple accounts in myMailMarket. As a reseller you are also able to whitelabel our platform to your own colors and style.
For larger resellers having a minimum of 5 customers in the system, we can provide a discount to our offered prices. Contact our sales department for this.
In my report I see a number at bounced mails ?
A bounce is an email that has not reached the inbox of the email recipient. A bounce can be caused by several reasons, and these reasons are typically categorized in 'hard' or 'soft'.
What is a hard bounce and what is a soft bounce ?
A hard bounce is in most cases the email address that does no longer exists at the recipients mailserver. For example, people that move to another job and their email address gets deleted at their former employer.
Obviously there are far more causes for a hard bounce, for example a webdomain (with email addresses) that stops to exist, a mailbox that is abandoned and eventually is removed from the mailserver, ...
A good example of a soft bounce is an email box that is full. The mailserver of the recipient will bounce your email as it can not deliver the email. As this is a (normally) temporary situation, the bounce status will be set to 'soft'.
Can I send attachments with my email campaigns ?
This is not possible for deliverability reasons. We've seen a considerable uptake of bounces and spam tagging when email campaigns are sent accompanied with attachments. We strongly encourage to put your attachment (like a PDF) on a webserver and place a link to this file in your email campaign.
Does myMailMarket offers an API ?
We have an extensive API available for all our clients. You can consult the API documentation and libraries by loggin in, and checking the upper right corner under 'API'.
Serveral integrations are possible with our API:
- A link with your CRM (Customer Relation Management) to synchronize address lists and email/mobile addresses with myMailMarket.
- A link with your ecommerce shop to sync email addresses. For example when a new client registers at your, you can add this address to your list in myMailMarket.
- Autoresponder triggers: based on certain user actions in your application, you can create a trigger like sending out an email or a SMS text message.
Where can I find my API key and shared secret ?
After logging in, check the 'API' link in the upper right corner. All required information is available there. As the word itself says, the shared secret should be kept hidden from your visitors.
Are there libraries available to quickly connect with your API ?
We have ready-available libraries written in .NET and PHP
Can I track my emails by using Google Analytics ?
Affirmative. While preparing your campaign for sending, you can indicate to track the hyperlinks in your campaign by using Google Analytics. The only thing you need to do is provide us the Google Analytics tag name you would like to use, so when you look up the statistics in Google Analytics, you can quickly retrieve the tracking results.
Is A/B testing of your email campaigns possible ?
No, this is currently not possible but we have it on our roadmap for coming year.
How do I schedule a campaign?
This is done in the last step before sending out a campaign. You can send it out right away, or schedule a specific date and time. If you send out an international email, do not forget to indicate the proper timezone.
What happens if I import duplicate email addresses ?
Our system automatically identifies two similar addresses and removes duplicate email addresses. No need to check your entire database and clean these mistakes.
How do I import subscribers from a file ?
During the import process, one can choose a csv or text file on the local computer, and use the upload functionality to start the import.
Can I import my contacts from another system?
This can be done via a traditional export-import procedure (via file), or potentially there is an API bridge possible, depending on the possibilities of the other system. Our API supports automatic importing of addresses, we have a plugin available for Magento e-commerce.
Can I create my own custom fields ?
You can. Go to "address lists", "custom fields" and click on "Create new custom field". You can give any sort of name to a custom field. There are different types of custom fields:

When creating a new template, myMailMarket gives you three options:

How do I remove white spaces between blocks?
Go to 'Theme'and edit a chosen theme. Then click on 'body' and put 'content spacing' on 0px.
Can I add call-to-action buttons to each textblock?
Yes, you will find this feature in each text toolbar. Click on the orange + icon and customize your button. You can add a hyperlink and even add a specific color code.
