Integrate Facebook with myMailMarket
A common request of our clients is the immediate link between their Facebook company page and our myMailMarket email marketing platform. People who like to signup for the newsletter can immediately be added to the addresslist in myMailMarket.
So without further ado, here are the simple steps to have the link operational! Note that you must be an admin of your Facebook page so you can add a new Tab.
1) Login to myMailMarket
After logging in, go in the menu to addreslists, and click on menu item 'Forms'. Now, edit the subcription form of the addresslist you want the subscribers to be stored on. An alternative route is that you click in the menu on 'Addresslists', and in the overview of addresslists, click on the icon 'Forms' for the list you want to edit.
2) Create the subscription form
On the subscription form, assign the fields you like to be shown in the form.
Above the form fields, you can click on the button 'show more detail' to reveal specific extra fields that are useful for Facebook.
3) Update detail fields
Still on the subscription form, on the 'detailed fields', you can provide the header text, a header image, the background color and the button color of the form.
You can also provide a 'thank you' text, this is shown after someone has subscribed to the form.
Eventually, click on the Save form button to store all changes.
IMPORTANT: You will need the following URL in step 5 - configuration Facebook tab:
4) Login to Facebook, install the Tab page
In Facebook, click on the 'search' bar at the top of the page, and fill in: Static Iframe Tab. This will return 1 result (if there are multiple results, click on the result with the 2 shining lights). You can also browse to Iframe host Facebook page.
The Iframe tab page will automatically detect for which pages you are administrator, and will offer you a button 'Add Tab to Page' (at right side of the screen). Click on the button for the page where you want an integration with myMailMarket.
The green button will have been replaced now with the text "INSTALLED", and if you go to your page on Facebook, you will notice you have a new Menu Item "Welcome".
5) Configure the new Welcome tab
Last thing to do is manage the new tab, so it has a different title, and it is linked to the correct subscription form in myMailMarket.
Click on 'More' and select 'Manage tabpages'.
Drag the tab page name to the correct place in the ordering of the tabs, and click 'Save'.
Now click on the tab page in Facebook. As you are an administrator of the webpage in Facebook, you will get a configuration page. We highlighted the 3 important parts of the configuration page. So make sure you select 'URL' as the selected option, and in the URL field you need the value of your subscription form (see step 3: IMPORTANT). The tab page name you can change from 'Welcome' to for example 'Newsletter'.
Click on 'Save settings' at the bottom of the configuration page. If you configured well, the tab page is now renamed to 'Newsletter', and if you click on it, you will see your subscription form of myMailMarket. Note that the 'Admin options' bar with the green bar and icons is only visible to you as an admin. Visitors of your webpage will not see this option bar.
